thanks man  Very Happy

TBH i cant take all the credit, but i know im the only one with a bolt on (OEM everything) 3S swap here in the UK.

About this...and I apologize since I know you have probably covered a lot of these questions already. One day I may very well build a 3s to drop in my Corolla while I play with 20v I have now. But can you answer just a couple questions?

I'm assuming the 3SGTE would fit just as easy as the 3S. Any reason you didn't go that route to start? What gearbox is used with this motor? Is it a 6 speed or do they offer one? What motor mount did you use on the gearbox side? And what axles did you end up using.

thanks for the info

yes the 3sgte would fit straight in, i wanted to go down the NA route. I had a turbo and didnt want the same headaches again.

used an S54 gearbox

there was no 6 speed available with this engine, even though im trying to "make" one

gearbox mount was corolla re-drilled

axles - driveshafts? if so then oem st182 (long shaft) and sw20 (short shaft)

I don't know why I asked about the 6 speed, we were just discussing that the other day. Do\'oh!

I'm assuming the headaches were caused mostly since it was an aftermarket turbo set up?

it was an upgrade from a 4efe to a 4efte, and within 2 weeks the turbo went down, then the bottom end starting knocking, then it just went downhill.. i was on the verge of breaking the car...

then i decided to the sell the fully rebuilt 4efte setup with a 6 speed box, and drop a 3sge in (actually saved quite a bit of money by doing so... which was used on more parts lol)

finally wired up my fogs properly

I used the same principle as this with a few changes

http://www.ae101ownersclub.com/t2482-diy-front-bumper-fog-lights-with-hid-s-corolla-93-97#39180

I used one of these to wire the fogs into the fuses

Screenshot_2014-12-17-15-42-23-1 by ishaq b, on Flickr

my fuse box layout looks slightly different, has a few more additions

IMG-20141217-WA0012 by ishaq b, on Flickr

added the extra circuit

IMG-20141217-WA0007 by ishaq b, on Flickr

IMG-20141217-WA0010 by ishaq b, on Flickr

wired it back to this switch

IMG-20141217-WA0004 by ishaq b, on Flickr

et voila
