Don't you go cheating on your IS300. Razz

How does it ride compared to the rolla and 300?

Nah, there's no cheating to be had .... it's a manual lol, so none of us can drive it (mom had to drive it home lol).

The MR-2 is very light and quick, faster than either the rolla or IS for sure. I'm not sure about handling though, I imagine it is sporty and stiff like it should be.

As for IS300 vs Corolla, I liked the Corolla more because it seemed lighter in the corners, even though I've got the stiff coilovers on the IS300, it is heavier. Ah well, the IS300 is much better now with the proper suspension, before it had blown shocks and that was really bad.

More pics, here's our lineup Smile

PS Bridgy: I don't have the Corolla anymore.

I know what you mean about the rolla's handling. I have yet to drive anything as nimble and responsive. What are your guys plans for the little roadster? And those G35s are quickkk! Is that mom's? O.o

LOL it's not Mom's, it's my other brother. I've got 3 younger brothers, 17, 20, 23 (the youngest doesn't drive yet), plus two sisters, 6 and 10. And my Mom Smile She's got the van and Escort you'll see in pic every now and then. Or rather, the escort was what my MR-2 brother was driving, but the van is set to be junked now (like my Corolla) so he had to get his own car so mom could drive the escort. I kicked out my step dad lol, he has a light blue Toyota truck.

He doesn't have any plans for the MR-2 except to learn to drive stick lol.

Dang I didn't know they made MR-2's as late as 2002.

And hm, learning stick isn't hard either, I literally drove stick twice before buying my Lancer. He should be good to go, that's gonna be an awesome car to drive.

The thing I hate about stick is sitting at a redlight on a hill. Gets me everytime. It's just impossible! Makes me never wanna drive manual ever again. Embarassed

You should see all the hills here hahah, I live on the side of one too. Hills are something I still haven't got down either, definitely takes a bit.

I don't think it has the 2zz, not entirely sure though. It's got a turbo badge on the back, but I don't think it has a turbo haha.

I personally prefer automatic, but like I have it with the manual shifters on the steering wheel. That way, I still have manual control, but only when I want it. The best of both worlds! Plus, it is constant acceleration, and when turboed, constant boost.

yeah but with a manual you actually get to drive the car to the limit, no aids at all Evil or Very Mad

you can shift up or down whenever you want at whatever rev you want...

So can I....? And especially now that the technology is 10 years newer than the IS300, it is definitely my preference in a new car!

But yeah I'll drive my car up to the rev limiter sometimes lol. It's at 6500 though, not a screamer.

I "know" how to, but I've never really done it. I'd need a lot of practice, it's not worth it. Besides, I don't want to end up liking his car more!! silent

I gotta say, I hafta agree with Ishaq, manual is much better, but that's just my opinion Razz I live in a small town so I don't have tonnes of traffic to deal with either, which probably makes it a lot better.

Also, do Lexus/Toyota make paddleshifters? My aunt just got an Infinti with 7-speed paddle shift, it is so fun to drive.

Yes, Lexus has paddle shifters.... like I said I've got the early iteration of them now, only they are buttons instead of paddles Smile

Around here, there is WAAY too much traffic 100% of the time, it really sucks.

Ah, missed the part where you said you have the shifters on the steering wheel. Awesome.

But yeah, in that case autobox is probably the way to go. It's nice that you have shift buttons atleast, makes for some good fun Razz
