| heya guys. new here.
just aquired an AE101 FX-GT and am having problems with the tach.
its reading too low, only hitting around 2000rpm to 3000rpm when im revving the tits off it. (i actually havent seen it hit 3000rpm)
ive tried using another cluster, running the IGF signal from the diagnostic port and tapping the IGF signal from the ECU (next to the plug)
the only thing that gave any movement was from the diagnostic port but it like the signal is too weak.
i dont know what to do next. i thought maybe theres something wrong with the igniter but i want to see what else i can do before i go out and buy another part that dosent help.
any help would be appreciated.

| Thats all good. It could be the connection with the dizzy. With out seeing the car its hard to tell what it could be.

| the dizzy plug seems to be okay, no corrosion or sludge or anything.
i probed the IGF signal in the diagnostic port and it gave me 11-12v in the ON position and 12-14v with the car running.
i got nothing from the IGF signal to the tach (cluster loom), and the IGF signal next to the ECU.
does anyone have any idea as to whats going on?
