| Hi,Can anyone help?our GT has started missing and running rich,It does it randomly and the check light comes on then it comes right. it starts missing at about 4k. if we stop it and then turn the key back on you can see the check light is dim. Also when its missing the rev counter drops away intermittently almost like its an electrical fault.Any clues???? Thanks. | |

| Ah man. Unfortunately there's quite a bit of things that can cause this. Trying working from the cheapest solutions up to the most expensive. Bad spark plug wires, spark plugs, distributor, cap, bad/leaky fuel injector, Upstream O2 sensor.
But first you should run a scanner to actually know what the code is.

| If it does that, the code probably turned into a pending code. The check engine light does not have to be on for your car to store codes. | |

| you can reset it by taking the negative terminal off the battery for about 30 mins, this resets the ecu..
start it up again, leave it running for 30 mins then turn it off, then turn it back on then check error codes

| sounds like blown caps in the ecu.
same thing happened to mine. thats probably why i got it for $500. replaced leaky caps, cost me about $4. runs mint now.
oh and to reset ecu, its quicker to pull the EFI fuse for 5 seconds.
