| I was encouraged to make a build thread here, not sure if it's worth the dificulty of my horrible computer skills. Well I'm on my second ae102, both gorgeous baby blue, the first one died at the hands of an enourmous rainstorm and a hydrolocked engine. Was going to rebuild but shipped off to basic training instead. So I picked this one up in tech school for $800, automatic and looked like its been through a flood, but it's cheap and runs and I need a lightweight tossable daily to not go insane, the ae86 is a horrible daily btw. First things first, I swapped in my nice cd/nav unit, mostly cuz I get lost.....a lot. Then in went my manual steering rack, gotta feel the road. Next I sourced a junkyard 5 speed swap, did some creative wiring and off I go being obnoxious with a clutch again. I built a custom weighted shift knob from a trailer hitch ball and had it laser engraved, just to please me. I threw in my old nardi sans horn button cuz I lost it. The a/c never worked, could've fixed it but I don't use it much and I ain't care so I took it all out and gang land style beat it with a bat in the driveway. Like I said, the flood, the carpet looked and smelled of a hundred dead possums, so I ripped it out, along with a good dry ice treatment to the sound deadening, and proceeded to have a ceremonial bonfire with it in hopes of future automotive prosperity. On to the exterior..... The drivers fender was all jacked up so I went to the yard and found one that had recently been on fire, so of course I picked it up and put it on. Then for some odd reason I felt the need to "jdm hood prop" my stock fwd economy car, so I hit harbour frieght and got some pretty colorized sockets and longer bolts. My passenger side fender had a scratch on it.....so I sanded it all down and decided to let nature take it over. I'm currently collecting parts to finish my 5 lug and camry brake swap then my super secret rims from my old s13 will be going on, it'll probably be a disaster but I'm excited. I've only got a couple pics but I'll take some more tomorrow so this isn't too boring. | |

| Oh, it's just a saying coined by ken block. Kind of to the effect of using and modifying the car how I want no matter what people think about it. Came about while driving rally and tearing up cars and not stopping. | |

| OH, I thought it was a misspelling of Paint Care, and this would be a DIY for paint lol. | |

| I can get some whole car pics. The car will not be getting much TLC lol, it'll just be set up mechanically right and be ugly. The ae86 is my track car, we're trying to get the cage finished up and procuring suspension bits still. I've got an IS300 that I bought for my wife if I feel the need to drive something nice, which doesn't ever happen anyway. | |

| My old steering wheel thats now on welded quick release in my 86, loved it, I plan on getting one in 6 bolt for my 102 Messy process of removing the sound deadening with dry ice, worth a good 25lbs if you're into weight removal Finally blew out a headgasket after 201k miles, 4 hours later it's back on the road and still a special beater | |

| Just playing with my friends back home, I miss the mountain roads now that I live in swamp country. I've owned lots of different cars, lightweight toyotas will always be my favorite, all I need to complete my obsession is another mr2 Aanndd BOOM goes the radiator, happened to my wife when she went to go pick it up and bring it here from colorado, luckily she's a beast and replaced the radiator, t-stat, and front brakes by herself.....totally wifed her...winning. Teaser pic, probably going to have to pull and roll the fenders a solid inch and fill the gaps, or just run mini flares, I'll figure it out. As Dick Trickle said "rubbins racin" and I'm sure the fronts will scrub even with the suspension I have planned, but, I ain't care. | |

| I like this build haha it reminds me of my friends ae101 sedan, he has a 5 speed swap, rusted fender and immensely pulled fenders and he just ordered some wide wheels haha. I'll have to show him this i'm sure he'll like it | |

| So....I got bored...and decided a custom dash is something I need It is out and stripped, now I have to clean it and wait for the kit to show up removing the dash was..uh...exciting? I pulled all the trim, the radio, the cluster, and center console. Then dropped the steering column, pulled dash bolts and unclipped it at the back. Then it pulls forward and you have to remove 6.2 bazillion screws from the vents and wiring to actually get it out. Getting all the foam and vinyl off wasn't as hard as I expected, just a putty knife and some patience. There's only a couple holes from the factory that I'm going to have to fiberglass up. I picked a nice color, I'm keeping it hush until I see how it turns out. | |

| I decided to go to war with my wiring harness while the dash is out. Took out alot of stuff that I felt was not needed but now I need the factory wiring diagram to continue the battle. | |
