What your corolla like on petrol?

what miles are ye getting to the tank?a lot of people are telling me there corolla is very heavy but i think mine is very good,i have gotten 340 miles to the tank on a motorway,been driving around local this week and there 200 miles on it now and its at half and should get another 100 before its empty so i dont think 300 is bad at all.

yeah, sounds about right.

I get about the same if I drive it nicely (not like a grandma, but not thrashing it). On my last tank I got just over 600kms (370 miles), which was about 80% city and 20% highway driving. Could have got a bit more out of if I had taken it to the point where the fuel light remains on solidly, but didn't want any sediment in the bottom of the tank clogging up my fuel pump, lol.

i have to put in V-Power (97 RON) i put about 35litres and get about 220miles...

about 26 MPG

^ Ouch. One of the reasons why I really don't want to go down the turbo route. I've owned a few turbos in the past and they were very thirsty, and that was back when gas was half the price it is now! Lol. My Corolla typically averages about 36mpg with 90% city driving. Although I've had it just over 40mpg with about 70% city and 30% highway driving. That was driving like a grandma though

About 500-550 kms till the fuel light is lit.

Have to pay about US$ 2,32 (1,43 GBP) for one litre of V-Power here...
For that reason i keep my 4AFE and dont swap to a 4AGE 20v engine.

anything over 300 is very good,my 180sx does 100 to 120 miles to a tank evo does 180 miles to a fill

its £1.41 per litre of V-Power here... i fill up every 2 weeks, costs nearly £100 a month on fuel...

im not sure what the mpg is when i had my corolla but i stuck in 16 euros worth when i lived in ireland and it lasted 2 hours on idle 1 hours each day

€16 euro wouldn't buy ya much here now with the price of it
last november was round €1.25 a litre now its over €1.50

so I decided to measure my fuel consumption, I filled it full as possible. That fills up to 55 litres of Unleaded (92 octane). After 100 km I started to fill the tank again and that needs only around 7,5 litres... so I guess my FC is around 1:13 (1 liter for every 13 km)....thats 100/7,5 = 13,3....


I used it on daily basis and 80% highway though.....

thats weird mine only fills to roughly 45 litres

The Corollas have a 50 litre fuel capacity

either 50 or 55 im not sure, but it wont be lesser than 50 I guess..

come to think of it, I have to refuel it again today

Me neither. Gas is too expensive to be doing that . If you could fill up the full 50 litres then your car would literally be coughing your way to the gas station, and even then there'd still be a fair amount of fuel at the very bottom of the tank, in the lines and in the fuel filter, lol.

I get 300-500 kilometers on my tank

ive always gotten over 300miles to a full tank with my corollas,
but i did buy a gxi(1.8 ) a few years ago that wouldnt even get 240miles never mattered how i drove,

after a long time scracthing my head and digging out more money i still havent figured it out
after a particually backroad the downpipe cracked on me and as the O2 sensor was ancient looking on it i decided to replace it along with the downpipe,

after changing it i was getting easily over 350, and even over 400 on the motorway on long journeys,
its one of the first things id replace if my car was heavy on fuel.

hope this helps anyone having problems with theirs.
