iv seen alot of people use the renault laguna splitters tooo Yeah it's almost an exact fit. All I need to do is use a heat gun to heat up the sides of the lip as the Corolla bumper curves in whereas the lip goes straight around. Heating it up will make it more pliable so I can push it in against the bumper, then I just have to urethane it in place. I'd prefer not to say which model the lip is off because I want to keep it unique, but I'll PM you

| Well, you could install the lights even with a different color, because the color is contained within the lines of the light... if you know what I mean lol. I'm happy to see that you will indeed fit the lip perfectly But I was not happy to read this: - Kiwi-Corolla wrote:

Sure, it's your call, but this is the first time I've ever seen a Corolla owner purposely keep key valuable information to himself. Trust me Scott, you car is and will always be VERY unique!! lol. And since you are in NZ, chances of us finding that lip in Europe and US (it won't even fit the US bumper) are small.

Haha, I kind of know what you mean. I actually just took a closer look at the lights and they're black, not grey. So I suppose Toyota designed them to tie in with any interior colour. Here's a pic of the one's CLK has in his Corolla: - gold94corolla wrote:

Ok ok ok, I'll spill the beans . The lip is off a 1990 Nissan Bluebird SSS. I guess I wanted to keep one part of my car secret because the rest of it is very exposed throughout the internet etc, but since you put it so kindly I no longer mind sharing the info

| woohoo, whew, thanks Scott, glad you didn't take that the wrong way and get offended! I mean, I completely understand how you feel about it, wanting to keep things secret so that it is unique. I have felt the same way. Of course, the stuff I do is so off the wall that no one wants to do it anyway haha But the front lip thing is such a hot item for our car. I am glad that you finally found one! Again, I was really just suprised that after sharing all of your other info, that you'd keep a secret for once! lol. I mean, I did notice on the forums that you were only saying "Nissan" but I knew that you knew which car it was lol. But as I suspected, I've never even heard of that Nissan!! We sure don't have it in the US that I know of. And it wouldn't fit anyway. We'd rather use Civic lips lol. And that is what I meant about the rear light, it doesn't have to match, it can be a complimentary color! Because you know I'd love to see this rare part in your car (trying to convince you lol) | |

I must admit that I'm kind of glad the SSS isn't found in America as it wouldn't be the same if I saw the same front lip on another Corolla, lol. Can't wait to get it fitted

| Nice find on the lip and map light Scott! It'll match the side skirts and bring the car closer to perfection.

| Thanks guys! - ninoxious wrote:

It was extremely easy to install, 100% plug-and-play in fact. There's a small plug that goes into the interior fusebox just above the fuses on the driver's side which is the plug for the interior light. All I had to do was unplug it, plug it into one end of the new loom for the key light, and plug the other end of the new loom back into the fusebox. So all the new loom essentially did was act as an extension and provide additional wires for the key light to work. Toyota made things very easy to install, which I'm very grateful for

No sorry. The plug for the fusebox is located between the fuses and the relays at the top. It should have two black wires going to it (wagon models have 4 wires as they also have a second interior light mounted in the roof near the trunk). If you take off your lower dash panel you should be able to see it

| you know, I was thinking over on Toyota Nation about how you said that it plugged in over the fuse box. Well I had seen the wires, and they are not very long. But that makes sense because you have RHD! So your ignition is right over your fuse box. The wires wouldn't reach for LHD. | |

Hmm, isn't the main interior fusebox on the driver's side regardless if the car is LHD or RHD?

| Exactly.. on LHD the fusebox is also on the left. But ignition key is on right side of steeringwheel.. | |
