| So far, fixing up this little beater has been going good until last night. I noticed that it was running a little rough at idle (around 700-800rpm) and felt as if it was a vacuum leak at first. But after sticking my head in the bay and messing with stuff I figured out that it is most likely a misfire on cylinder 2. There was a definite lack in power over the last couple days so it makes sense.
I replaced spark plugs, wires, cap & rotor and it still is misfiring just on that cylinder. I know it is because when I pull the wire from cylinder 1,3 and 4, it wants to die. But when I pull cylinder 2, it runs the same. I can get it to ark from the boot to the spark plug tube walls so I know there's spark at least coming out of it.
Is this a fuel issue? Maybe bad injector?

| Its funny, because my AE102 is also misfiring, I am not sure what is going on, See I use to have a 1998 Suzuki Esteem and it was misfiring and I got Check Engine codes blinking on and off, but with my AE102 when I go above 4k+ RPM my Check Engine goes on, but after a bit of being below 4k my check engine turns off, So I am not sure whats going on with mines lol I was gonna post about it too, but I see you posted | |

I know that because it is OBD1 that codes may or may not come on depending upon the make and model. But the check engine light isn't on and hasn't ever come on. Which is weird I think that a misfire was a universal "hey dummy change your spark plugs" light.

I did change my spark plugs, now I noticed that Cylinder 2 and 4 are a bit wet with Oil, not sure if thats a cause, car still misfires tho, gonna change my Cables and Distributor Cap and see and also gonna fix that oil leakage If you have ever owned a Honda with VTEC, well thats how my Corolla is at the moment lol around 4k+ my car accelerates super fast XD Also I forgot to state that my 93 Corolla DX was an Auto, its now a Manual, but I kept the Auto Tranny ECU on and my O/D Light blinks on and off lol so there are a lot of things that could be causing my check engine light to turn on

All of my plugs were dry and looked pretty new but I replaced them anyways. Like I said, I did a complete ignition tune up other than replacing the actual distributor.

So I bought new Spark Plug Seals, I got Spark Plug Cables, Distributor Cap and the little Rotor inside of it and I still get a bit of a misfire, not as bad now! I think its a Vacuum leak now

| So unplugging and switching the injectors made the misfire switch with it. Looks like I'll be ordering a new fuel injector... | |
