| There were a lot of gravel roads in Iceland.... what a nice place! Barely anyone there, and lots of open roads with no one on them. | |

| Well, ever since I hit a guard rail back in November, my bumper has been a bit messed up. I had the fender fixed, but never had the money to get the bumper repainted and stuff, so I just left it. Well I was at the car wash the other day, and when I was using the pressure washer to get the tonne of bugs off the front of my car, the paint started to peel. I drove around for two days, with my friends asking me if I had another accident, I kinda got fed up so I removed my bumper for the first time today and began sanding the whole bumper down to plastic. I then primed it black, sanded it, primed it, wet sanded it, then primed it and it currently looks as so, and it's sitting in my garage. A few days previous I had ordered 8 1ft led strips from eBay, just to mess around with in my car, and they were on sale so it was nice. I took my coin holder thing, filled it with bondo, then grinded off most of the bottom portion and drilled a hole in it for a switch. I drilled a hole in the other plastic piece that was there a while back, and hooked up lights, with a control switch, that go with the beat of my music. While my bumper was drying, I also thought to take out the stock intake water box and piping, which was a bit of a hassle but was completed pretty quickly. This is how the outside of the car sits now. I waited until dark to test my fuse tap, wiring and each of the leds to make sure they all worked. Nice and bright in the dark, now I just gotta figure out where to put them all. And here's two stickers that my brother gave to me. My family on my mothers side is Filipino and my dad considers himself just a Canadian (German, English, Swedish), fyi, for the purpose of the stickers | |

| Hey, if you need any ideas for LED strip placement, feel free to look at my car ROFL!
I had never noticed that the bumper was messed up from an accident, obviously your original fix did a good job while it lasted.
And I really like how you made your own switch panel with Bondo, great thinking! What did you use to paint it, black primer? It seems to match the interior color well.

you could hook the leds up to brake lights as they are red...? Thanks dude, and yeah when I was done painting I asked myself why I didn't just try and get a Subie bumper instead of repainting it... and hm, one of my friends just did that, it looks pretty cool, we'll see - gold94corolla wrote:

Hahaha yeah I was actually looking at your CarDomain last night. My fix lasted the winter and then some, which is pretty much all I was expecting out of it And haha thanks dude, yeah I just primed black over it. - Sgt_Lyna wrote:

| Those look VERY nice! The size and design looks perfect for your car, well especially if you lower it. I don't even think you'd need to paint them! You are sure they'll fit? $250 for wheels AND tires is a steal. | |

| I'm fairly certain. He had them on a 98 Lancer, then an 04 Impreza 16" rims, can't remember tire size... edit: 185/50/r16 Yeah I'm thinking they'd fit And yes, I am planning, still, on lowering it, so | |

| I am mixing up rims, oops. Haha, sorry, was looking at these bronze ones too, that a guy had on an Impreza and Lancer. They are bronzed 5 bolt rims, these ones a guy had on a Civic. | |

| Nice work! Noticed you sanded and primed the entire bumper (lip too). Glad to see your going to paint it all one solid colour, it will look awesome.
An idea for the LED strips would be to install them somewhere in the engine bay. Thats what I thought you were doing when I first glanced at the pic. lol
and I would have to agree with Chris on the rims, they should look perfect on your car even the way they are. You should definitely get them.

| Thanks guys, yeah I think I might go for them, if all goes well I will have them late tomorrow. @ David, I was thinking about one solid colour but I'm still not sure I could easily still just tape it off and make the lip noticeable haha. But yeahh actually I was thinking of LEDs in the engine bay. Mostly @ Ishaq, why are Subaru bumpers so cheap on UK eBay?! Haha, to find them here, they are multiple hundreds of dollars. http://www.ebay.co.uk/sch/sis.html?_itemId=220858755108&_nkw=Subaru%20Impreza%20version%205%206%20front%20bumper | |
