| I graduated 5-year university in 2009, so I've been working for about 3 years now. I got a civil engineering degree, and now I work for the state highway administration, doing design and CAD work to build and expand the roadways on which I drive lol.
Although they have me out on an interchange construction project for 6 months as a construction inspector, so I stand around all day and watch people work LOL. | |

| When I was in school, I didn't work. Like Kenny said, there's not enough time for both IMO! I did a lot of lawnmowing for money growing up, and then I got good grades in school to get scholarships. So, a different kind of work I suppose. But I'm so happy to be out of the university now, gosh I hated it. | |

| Well, not the best time for me to post in this thread. Im on unemployment lol... I was laid off like 6 months ago and havn't found anything since. I was working as a custodian for a government organization making my way into the union, but someone lost there job and had higher seniority and bumped me out of the job.
I did go to school for 3 years for environmental technology but I hav'nt had much luck landing anything in my field yet (that pays decent). Though I did just apply for a local job last week so we will see.
I was also in a huge car wreck last year in the March. I rolled my 03 Pontiac Sunfire after driving like a maniac. I had my buddy with me and I went into a corner too hard and rolled it into a farmers tent trailer and also damaged his diesel tank. I ended up braking my left ankle and I had a compound fracture to my right tibia. I also woke up in the back seat with my leg stuck in the back door window (the compound fractured leg). Luckily my friend was smart and wore his seat belt and was even able to walk away with out a scratch lol A good thing because I needed him to go call an ambulance...which I waited about 40 mins for because it was late at night and we were in the country. ...So if theres a moral here, its to buckle up and dont drive like an idiot lol.

| I've not fallen out of love with corolla's or Japanese cars, but I was going to answer this thread of what do you do a while ago but waited to include a photo. Well one of my other interests is gardening and is is also one of the two main jobs I undertake. The demand for gardeners is high as many people like their gardens but either they are not ones to get their hands dirty or just don't have the time or knowledge on their side. It is sometimes backbreaking battling the cold or trying to avoid being cooked medium to well done by the rays of the sun (danger for me as I don't feel the heat) It's great as I feel fully emersed in what I do, being in 1 to 4 different places in a day. Then boom. Not thunder and rain but the customer ask can I take the refuse away to the tip. Well I can't use their car, and so in some cases my lovely day before vacuum clean up of the interior goes to pot. However it's part of the service I offer and luckily I have a large offset of household carpet that covers the car trunk carpet and runs up the side of the plastic interior so it's all protected from scratches. But that doesn't guard against army of ants running everywhere, snails heading skyward for the headlining, and spiders performing acrobats on the rear view mirrors. But I guess they enjoy a good car ride. All in all the interior does cleans up beautifully. So you win some (extra cash for rubbish removal + creepy crawlies) and loose some (time to clean up usually at the end of the week) I have seem many pretty cars on here. I have shown mine in the best possible condition so here is the flip side of that. picture hosting adult image hosting | |

| Heavy load! Was biking the other day, two bikes inside, one bike on the roof..three guys inside the car Really impressive how much space these cars have inside compared to how big it is on the outside.. On topic: I work as an apprentice as an "Wiper/greaser/fitter" onboard a Subsea vessel in New Orleans. ( the position is called Motorman in norwegian, but its combined of those three positions in English) I have one trip left, before i get my papers as "Motorman", and will then go straight to school for two years to become an Engineer. I might go one year extra, just to get bachelor degree.. makes it easier to get work ashore if i want in a couple of years. | |
