I say take it off entirely

I'll see if my professor will let me use the machine shop at my school. I think one bolt is okay though. It really depends on what kind of bolt you're using since not all bolts have the same tensile strength. We tested a normal steel bolt with no markings in shop class and it took 80,000 lbs of force to snap it in half. Also Honda owners are using only one bolt and it seems really sturdy. Anyways, here's a few pics for October. The sunset was just too gorgeous today to not take photos. I used my zoom lens for this one to give it more depth.

And the bolt is under sheer stress, not tensile stress. Sheer is a LOT lower. But you're right, it needs to be strong enough in the sheer direction.

...but I think you should just leave the one bolt for your tow hook, its kind of cool and unique.

Very nice pics dude, third ones my favourite, would be the first but there's that blue glare spot haha. Your car is still looking beautiful as usual.

Yess! Thanks bro, I always had a hunch that I was doing too much. I will keep that in mind. And by circle, do you mean the vignetting (darkish shadow around the pic)?

I think that's what he means... though I really like that effect! I do think the photos could be a bit brighter overall though, which would help with that issue.

I like the brightness of those pics, cause they're sunset/evening pics. Though I concur I'm not entirely a fan of the black around the border.

How much was your airbag? I bought an Oem 01 corolla s steering wheel today (black leather w/ red stitching) for $11 but the airbag was deployed and our steering wheels look identical. Any help? Oh and I have a surprise for you. No homo

I'm not sure cause I bought the whole thing together. I'd imagine it can't be too bad but it's kinda risky to ship. I think me and Ishaq got lucky. And I didn't know the 01 Corolla S came with red stitching! Any pics? And let me see the airbag mounting points on your wheel. There's a chance it could be different.

Oh speaking of which, I started working on the side skirts but then my Dremel broke. I ordered some replacement parts for it so I should be able to continue the project again soon.

Well the dremel itself is fine, it's just the collets are poop. I've broken two already. I think it's from a combination of the heat it generates and the outside temperature.


And Tyler the wheel looks completely identical to mine! I'm gonna try to find some Corolla S' at the junkyards and see if I can find the same wheel and swap the bag with mine so I can get some money back. I only wish you discovered this sooner!

As for the sideskirts, do you have an idea on how much shipping is going to be if I were to buy/trade those from you?

No I don't know yet, ill have to box them up when I get back and get to ups. And the reason I find so much awesome stuff is because I'm such an awesome guy. Duh. Lol no I go to the junkyards on Sundays and every day that I have off during the week. So I get to go at least twice a week my girlfriend says that I go too much but I think I don't go often enough. I don't know why but I looovvveee going to the Junkyard and finding a different Toyota that I can get parts from. Any way, enough of my rambling. I'll get you a quote when I get back. Hey man, im back in NC after a very long depressing week. I'll get the skirts washed, boxed, and quoted tomorrow.

$35 shipping to Sacramento. now, being the dumb ass that i am, i boxed them up ready to be shipped. i have no other pictures of them other than the one i sent you. they need to be washed again. of course they have the usual wear and tear that they get from being so close to the ground and i think its the drivers side that has this small dent/crease thing on it along with some scraping on the underneath of it. im trying to be as honest as i can cause i dont want you to be upset if you decide to buy or trade them. if i have to ill unbox them and take better pictures of them. let me know if you want them and ill come up with a sale price for you. if you decide that you dont, theyll go on TN on my parts for sale thread.

I was planning on stopping by the new junkyard that just opened in my area to see if they have any of the same Corollas. If I can't find anything there then I'll let you know for sure. But till then, you can post the skirts for sale. I don't want to make you wait.
